Innovator and Inventor in the fields of Solar and Hydrogen Technology since 1977, Wolfgang was granted a patent for his design of a highly efficient Black Fluid Solar Collector in 1986 and has designed and built solar powered boats in collaboration with Ben Lexcen until 1988.
In 1995 he was employed by Rio Tinto as a Senior Systems Analyst to assist with the development of their first intranet. He designed and delivered Safety Notice and Knowledge Management applications. He also designed and delivered their World Wide Y2K response intranet/extranet, which was instrumental in avoiding several Y2K issues in 2000. In 2001 he was employed as CIO and Analyst to improve services of a search engine optimisation company. Around this time, Wolfgang was experimenting with innovative new data architecture. When he was employed to deliver a Risk Management solution, the design requirements revealed that his new architecture would solve many problems that are otherwise extremely difficult, if not impossible, to overcome. He finalised and patented his Universal Database Schema (UDS) Invention in 2003, and was awarded a complete patent in 2004. Having founded CertainEdge Pty Ltd to explore and commercialise the properties of the UDS, he has been involved in UDS Research and Development ever since.
